October 3rd Sew and Show

Already the third day and we have some busy bees! I'm loving the stash pics and and item shots. Keep up the great work and enjoy the rest of your weekend. much ♥

I fit in a bit of sewing this evening and made my Bunny a little Twirl skirt/Sienna shirt set. I've had these shirts for a while and am glad to use them!

What I'll be sleeping on

Doing a French theme for my niece's 3rd birthday gifts. I found this super cute vintage knit on eBay. Though I didn't notice until recently that the boy mouse is holding $100, so I don't know what that implies about the girl mouse...

Then I found this girl's tunic, size 10/12, and thought it could be the base for a dress. Unfortunately my daughter has fallen in love with it, so it might have to be hers for the holiday. There is a stain on the front skirt (at about 11:00 position), so I'll need to figure out an embellishment plan. Ideas? One consideration is to use the mouse fabric (I have about 2 1/2 yards) to make something for each niece and my daughter.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's stash

So this was my stash on August 1. Sadly it has grown by leaps and bounds and now is housed in 5 huge rubbermaid containers. (Not really picture worthy) I sewed all day yesterday but nothing that counts. I was busy finishing things for a craft show today. I'm gonna go make something now just so I can get some points :)

Nothing Fancy...

I read an article two or three months ago that made the bold statement: keep leafy vegetables & herbs fresh longer by placing them in slightly damp "dishtowel" bags. I made one a week back for some basil I purchased at the farmer's market. When I used some of it today, the basil was still pretty fresh!

So... I made four more today! (The sad part is, these dishtowels have been sitting around for the past month for just this intention and I just never got around to sewing the sides shut!) I kept two and gave two away to family when they stopped by for dinner. I'm hoping my spinach will last longer than two or three days now.

Yeah for Saturdays!

It was a good morning! Another Miller Halloween pillow for my mom, a Peanuts autumn pillow cover for my friend, the same in the smaller size for me (was supposed to be for mom, but it was cut VERY wonky, so she'll get a turkey fabric I have stashed someplace). Then made a gift bag from the remaining peanuts, figure we'll use that for one of the upcoming birthday parties.

Here's My Stash!

Well, this picture was taken a month or two ago...and I actually have been sewing and not buying much so it's slightly better than this looks, but here's my stash!

I do have a question about penalty buying.  Since we can't count anything we make for our businesses do I still get penalized if I have to buy something for my business?  I'm asking, because while I am still trying to use stash for that too, I have a few shirts I HAVE to buy for customs.  Thanks!
